Suggested Songs
1st Dances
- I have had several inquiries for appropriate songs for first dances.
I would suggest the the first dance song be one that holds special
meaning for the Bride and Groom. If there is a song that you first
danced to, or one you both hold dear, that song woud be one to
consider. Traditionally the first song is usually a slow song, but it
does not have to be a slow dance. Suggested songs: "At Last" by Etta
James; "Amazed" by Lonestar; "When You Say Nothing At All" by Allison
Krauss; etc.
Dedication to the Father of the Bride
- Usually this song says how the father feels about his daughter or how
the daughter feels about her dad. Some suggestions are: "I loved
her First" by Heartland; "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carslyle; "Wind
Beneath my Wings" by Bette Middler; "Keeper of the Stars" by Tracy
Bird; "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn;. Usually the groom will dance with
his mother during this song.
Wedding Party Dance
- This song usually sums up the spirit of the bride and groom and their
special friends. It can be either a fast or slow song and usually the
parents and other close friends of the bride and groom join in after a
minuite or so.
